Environmental Policy

Burns Welding Pty Ltd to:

  • Complying with relevant environmental legislation, appropriate industry guidelines, standards and requirements as specified by our clients and regulatory agencies
  • Striving for and implanting responsible work practices that minimise the impact on the environment and the prevention of pollution
  • Maintaining, measuring, reporting and reviewing measurable objectives and targets
  • Identifying environmental aspects and impacts of our activities which we can control and influence
  • Implementing, maintaining and continuously improving our Environmental Management System to enhance performance
  • Providing adequate resources to achieve the intent of this policy, objectives and targets and all elements of our Environmental Management System to the standard of AS/NZS ISO 14001:2016
  • Evaluating the performance and effectiveness of our Environmental Management System

 

This Environmental Policy shall:

  • Be available as documented information and to interested parties as appropriate
  • Be communicated within Burns Welding Pty Ltd

Occupational Health and Safety Policy

Burns Welding Pty Ltd is committed to:

  • Providing safe and healthy working conditions for the prevention of work-related injury and ill health
  • Eliminating hazards and reducing health and safety risks from activities, products and services, so far as is reasonably practicable
  • Investigating incidents to prevent recurrence by implementing and reviewing corrective and preventive actions
  • Maintaining, measuring, reporting and reviewing measurable objectives and targets
  • Complying with applicable legislative and compliance obligations
  • Implementing, maintaining and continuously improving Occupational Health and Safety Management System to enhance performance
  • Consulting with our workers, their representatives and other relevant persons, and ensuring their participation in improving, matters affecting their health and safety
  • Providing adequate resources to achieve the intent of this policy, objectives and targets and all elements of our Occupational Health and Safety Management System to the standard of AS/NZS ISO 45001:2018.

 

Our workers shall:

  • Present for work in a safe and fit manner
  • Take reasonable care that their acts or omissions do not adversely affect their health and safety, or that of other persons
  • Report incidents and unsafe practices to the relevant Burns Welding Pty Ltd representative
  • Comply with Burns Welding Pty Ltd integrated management system documentation, training and instruction

 

This Occupational Health and Safety policy shall:

  • Be communicated within Burns Welding Pty Ltd

  • The establishment, implementation and maintenance of the criteria and methods required for the effective operation and control of quality processes
  • Identifying risk and opportunities associated with the conformity of our products and services
  • Identifying, evaluating and correcting non-conformances associated with our products and services
  • Encouraging employees to participate in quality improvement activities
  • Implementing, maintaining and continuously improving our Quality Management System to enhance performance
  • Providing adequate resources to achieve the intent of this policy, objectives and targets and all elements of our Quality Management System to the standard of AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016.
