Mark Burns – Proprietor & Manager

Mark commenced operations in 1997 after completing his Trade Certificate in 1995 in Fabrication & Engineering. With his trade background and his extensive experience with design and construction projects across all sectors of the building Industry both commercial & non-commercial, food and wine industry, abattoirs and distilleries.

As a Manager, his main focus is on business development and customer liaison but he also ensures that the business achieves its key performance indicators of on-time delivery within the client’s financial budget, zero defects and a safe work place environment.

Mark also has a passion for Single Malt Whisky. In the last seven years this passion has become a reality Mark has successfully with the support of his wife Michelle been able to turn “Ash-lin” The Aisling Distillery into a successful Distillery. With his knowledge and workmanship he is Manufacturing & Designing Full Distillery Fit outs, as well as individual systems these include Stills, Condensers, Spirit Safe, Fermentation Tanks, Heat Exchanges, Grist Mills, Glycol systems and Boiler installs for Steam.

Michelle Burns – Accounts Manager

Michelle joined Mark in 2005 after making the move from Perth WA and took on the husband and wife team roll as Accounts Manager, Quotation Officer, PR personnel. Michelle is an experienced Accounts Manager with a background in the Private & Government Sector and is proficient in accounting software including MYOB and Quicken. Michelle has extended her knowledge in the Industry to join Mark in the work shop when required. More recently Michelle has taken on the main roll in the Distillery as Assistant Distiller in both Mashing, Fermenting, Distilling and Gin Collaboration.
